MISSION AND GOALS
The mission of the BES library it to promote life long learning and appreciation of reading for leisure, information, and knowledge. The library supports students and staff with print, audio-visual, and online materials to enhance the learning experience at Brookhollow Elementary.
SCHEDULE
Students have one scheduled class visit per week, as well as an open period at the end of the day each day to get new books. Specific details regarding rules, policies and fine schedules are available at the link below.
CATALOG AND DATABASES
Students can check the library catalog and their library accounts from any computer with internet access. The Brookhollow Catalog link can be found on the PISD website under the student tab. Students can log in using their student ID number to create book lists, check reading levels of their books or find out what books they may have out. Go to the link below and then select Brookhollow to begin using the catalog.

BOOK FAIR
Brookhollow will have its first book fair during the week of October 15. Please visit the link below to learn more about the fair and to volunteer to help with this fun event.

READ-A-THON FOR KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADE
Volunteers are also needed to assist with the DOG-GONE-GREAT-READERS read-a-thon program. The program will run from November 26- December 7. Please contact Mrs. Clark, or your child's teacher if you are interested in being a part of this special event.
ACCELERATED READER
Students in second through fifth grade participate in the Accelerated Reader program. This program is designed to test students reading comprehension and increase their reading levels. Prizes and rewards are given to those who meet or exceed their reading goals. The goals are set with each classroom teacher and student.
