Little Hoopers Saturday Basketball Clinics 2009 @ Pflugerville Recreation Center The Cougar basketball teams of John B. Connally High School have created a program to help foster confidence, character building, responsibility, and team building through the game of basketball. We also hope to build a solid fundamental basketball foundation in the kids while providing them the opportunity to interact with some positive role models.
Our “Little Hoopers” program will be for any student in first grade through sixth grade interested in the game of basketball that live in Pflugerville and surrounding areas. During the two hour clinic the kids will be taught basic basketball fundamentals including; shooting, passing, rebounding and ball-handling by our staff. Kids will complete fun and educational basketball drills and games designed to increase their basketball skill level and promote physical fitness. Studies show that children today are increasingly obese and at risk of developing health problems due to their lack of physical activity. Our Little Hoopers Saturday clinics seek to address that problem. The staff will consist of Connally coaches, players and special guest coaches with backgrounds consistent with the program. The cost will be $ 8.00 per Saturday clinic. You may pay at the door or on-line.You may download the registration form from our website and fax it in to us at the numbers indicated on the form.
