Parents, it is with a heavy heart that I tell you I will be leaving Dessau Elementary at the end of this school year to become the principal at Park Crest Middle School. I have enjoyed working with you and your children and will miss everyone tremendously. These past four years we have made great gains academically and behaviorally – in fact, in my opinion, this is one of the top elementary schools in the district if not region. The teachers that I have had the pleasure to work with are some of the very best, and I know they will continue to work hard for and with you and your children. Thank you for all your support during my time on this campus and for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of educating your children.
To begin the search for a new principal, the district wants your input. A meeting with representatives from administration is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. A translator will be available. Please come by and give your suggestions so that a principal profile for Dessau Elementary School can be created.
Reminders:
- Please send in the pre-registration paperwork for your child.
- Book Fair starts next week; family night is Friday.
- Cinco de Mayo Celebration is Friday Night.
- Teacher appreciation is next week as well. Let the teachers know how much we appreciate their hard work.
- There will be no charges in the cafeteria for the remainder of the school year.

Padres, es con un corazón pesado que les digo que al fin de este año escolar yo me iré de la escuela Dessau para ser la nueva directora de la escuela Park Crest Middle School. He gozado trabajar con ustedes y sus hijos y les extrañare mucho. En los cuatro años que he estado aquí hemos tenido mucho éxito académicamente y en el comportamiento de los estudiantes-por hecho, en mi opinión, este es una de las mejores escuelas en el distrito escolar, aun en la región. Ha sido un placer trabajar con unos de los mejores maestros y maestras, y sé que continuarán trabajando duro para ustedes y sus hijos. Agradezco su apoyo durante me tiempo aquí y por dando me la oportunidad de ser parte de la educación de sus hijos.
Para empezar la búsqueda del nuevo director, el distrito escolar quiere sus ideas y opiniones. Una junta con representantes de la administración central será martes, el 6 de mayo a las 6:30 de la tarde en la cafetería. Alguien estará disponible a traducir. Por favor venga y dar sus opiniones para ayudar crear un perfil sobre el próximo director de la escuela Dessau.

- Favor de devolver las hojas de pre-registración para su hijo/hija.
- La feria de libros empezará la próxima semana; viernes es noche familiar
- La celebración del Cinco de mayo es viernes
- La próxima semana es la semana de apreciar a los maestros/maestras. Dejen saber los maestros/maestras cuanto les apreciamos.
- La cafetería ya no aceptará pagos para el resto del año escolar
