Open House September 2nd at 6:30 PM

Dessau Middle School's Annual Open House will be held this Thursday September 2nd. Come early at 6pm to participate in the PTO meeting. Open House activities will begin at 6:30 and last until 8:30. Meet your child's teachers and DMS staff. We look forward to seeing you there!

2nd Annual Spring Break Trip
Dessau Travels to Washington D.C. and New York City

Want to travel? Want to learn about our country's history and culture? Than Washington D.C. and New York City is the trip for you! DMS students are traveling to our nation's capitol and the Big Apple Spring Break of 2011! If you are interested,have questions about the trip, or are just curious, please attend our first meeting of the school year Monday, September 13th, at 6 p.m. in the DMS library. This trip is available to ALL DMS students and family members! DMS students may also pickup paperwork from Mrs. Welborn in room D117.

A Teacher for All Seasons

A teacher is like Spring,
Who nurtures new green sprouts,
Encourages and leads them,
Whenever they have doubts.

A teacher is like Summer,
Whose sunny temperament
Makes studying a pleasure,
Preventing discontent.

A teacher is like Fall,
With methods crisp and clear,
Lessons of bright colors
And a happy atmosphere.

A teacher is like Winter,
While it’s snowing hard outside,
Keeping students comfortable,
As a warm and helpful guide.

Teacher, you do all these things,
With a pleasant attitude;
You’re a teacher for all seasons,
And you have my gratitude!
