Pflugerville ISD Parent-School Connections Mini-Conferences

Announcing our PISD Parent Connections calendar of monthly free mini conferences. We will be offering several break out sessions the 2nd Tuesday of each month from October through May. Parents will be able to choose 2 sessions to attend each night from our list of presentations. We are very happy to have translators available for our Spanish and Vietnamese parents each night, too.

PTO Committees:

To serve on a committee fill out this form and send it to a PTO Board Member.

  • PTO Sponsored Concessions -Ensure the concessions are staffed and food is purchased foreach sporting event sponsored by the PTO throughout the year.
  • PTO Sponsored Dance - Organize the first dance of the year: decorations, concessions, music, volunteers/chaperones.
  • Fall Festival - Organize preparations and attend the event. Solicit vendors, gain donations from local establishments, work with Treasurer and VP of Fundraising to purchase food for event, organize volunteers for concessions,set up and clean up, communicate event date/time to the school and community.
  • Arts & Crafts Bazaar - Same duties as Fall Festival.
  • Other Fundraising - Organize other fundraising events throughout the year such as Pizza Nights.
  • Teacher Appreciation Days - Establish dates and organizedonations and volunteers for teacher appreciation days.
  • Family Nights- Organize event(s) throughout the year for the whole family to attend with their student.
  • Newsletter- Work with DMS Principal to obtain information for the publication of the bi-monthly newsletter.
  • PTO Membership Drive - Work with the VP of Membership throughout the yearin the solicitation of PTO membership.
  • Parent Volunteers -Assist the committees on making calls to obtain volunteers for the various events throughout the year.
  • Marquee - Change marquee weekly or as needed.
  • 6th and 7th Grade Field Day - Organize preparations for Field Day, including purchase of concessions, establish activities and solicit volunteers, and communicate event date/time to the school.
  • 8th GradeGift - Work with Treasurer and Board in determining and purchasingthe 8th grade end of school year gift.
