Dear Diamondback Family,
Just a reminder that IPR information will be sent home with students today. Please be sure to ask your child for this important information. In addition, if you have not already picked up your Parent Portal login information, you can do so by dropping by the front office.
I would also like to make you aware of some important middle school re-zoning meetings that are scheduled during the month of November. Three meetings have been scheduled at various locations and are listed below:
Monday, November 3 @ 7:00 PM in the Copperfield Elementary Cafeteria
Thursday, November 6 @ 7:00 PM in the Park Crest MS Cafeteria
Tuesday, November 18 @ 7:00 PM in the Pflugerville MS Cafeteria
Below is a link to the Pflugerville ISD website whereyou can find more information regarding proposed re-zoning:

This week we have received some exciting news! Yesterday the Pflugerville Education Foundation paid a visit to Dessau MS to award three of our teachers a $2300 grant to continue and expand our current robotics program. The teachers responsible for writing and submitting the grant were Molly Kamper, Margaret Dominguez, and Corky Narramore. Congratulations go out to each of these teachers for their hard work and commitment to our Diamondback students.
Another bit of good news is that Dessau MS has been awarded two Gold Performance awards by the Texas Education Agency for increasing our percentage of students meeting the Commended Performance standard in both Reading and Social Studies. We are proud of our teachers and proud of our students!
Lastly, please note that no costume attire is permitted at school on Friday, October 31st. If students come to school dressed in costumes they will be asked to call parents for a change of clothes or will be issued dress code shorts/T-shirts. Also, please talk to your child about not bringing candy to school. They may enjoy the candy they collect at home with family and friends.
That is all for now! Climb high, climb far; your aim the sky, your goal the star!
Sincerely,
Diana Sustaita
Principal
