Welcome to the Hendrickson Hawk College and Career Center! Helping kids achieving their dreams is what we're about! Whether you're a freshman just beginning to explore what to do after high school, or a senior researching the various scholarships and grants available to pay for that specialized certification/training program or college degree, we have the resources to help! The Hawk CCC is staffed by Hendrickson's Transition Counselor, Terry Sheneman, and is open during the school day (after hours by appointment). It is available to ALL Hendrickson High School students ninth through twelfth grades and parents are welcome too!

Registration for ACC Summer classes begins MONDAY MAY 5th at 5am!!! If you are already an ACC Early College Start student and have taken 1-9 hours, you can register on May 4th; 10+ hours, May 3rd. Attention SENIORS

Graduation practice is Wednesday June 4th from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Attendance at practice is MANDATORY! Please make arrangements with any work or ACC class schedules that might conflict with this!

Graduation is Friday June 6th at 9:00am.

Scholarships and Financial Aid Resources Note: With most scholarships at a specific college, you MUST be accepted at that college FIRST before applying! However, there are many other scholarships that you can apply for prior to this. See Terry Sheneman in the Hawk CCC for details.

How to Register for ACC/ECS - Complete these 5 items FIRST: 1) Complete ACC Online Application (you'll need your social security number!) 2) Complete and PRINT ACC Residency Form 3) Complete ACC-101 and PRINT last page 4) You may need to take the ASSET or COMPASS Exams if your TAKS ELA and Math are under 2200 and have a writing score of 2 or less. See Terry Sheneman if unsure about being exempt from this step. If you need to take one of these, you MUST do this before continuing. Minimum scores are required on the math portion to be able to take Economics and minimum scores on reading and writing for other courses. 5) Fill out and sign ACC Co-Enrollment Form (MUST obtain hardcopy from Hawk CCC and have it signed off by counselor and a parent. 6) Obtain a transcript WITH the latest TAKS scores. Terry Sheneman will help you get this, and it is no cost to you. After completing these steps, you will need to take everything for advising at ACC (Northridge Campus is the closest). Once approved and in the system, you can go online or by phone and register for the classes you want to take once ACC registration begins for that semester (for Summer, May 5th; for Fall, around July 21st) Here's what you need to take with you to advising: Residency Form ACC-101 Final Page Sealed Transcript with TAKS Scores (DON’T OPEN IT!) ACC Co-Enrollment Form (available in CCC) Compass Exam Results (if applicable)
