Highland Park MEN in Education Program
Highland Park Elementary School is excited to welcome MEN in Education to our school. MEN stands for mentoring, encouraging and more. Pflugerville ISD established a core team of 35 male volunteers to serve as MEN in Education coordinators throughout the district.
David Avila is the Highland Park Elementary MEN Coordinator. We need male role models to become more actively involved in the learning process of our students. Nationally, 40% of children are growing up without the active involvement of a father in their lives. I encourage any man (Father, Grandfathers, Uncles, and Brothers) who wants to make a difference in the lives of our children to join.
