Schedule Changes:

• ANY schedule change request must be addressed through the counselors, the counselors have a "green form" that must be signed by a parent/guardian before a schedule change can be made.

• Schedule changes will not be made after September 7th without administrative approval.

• Pre-AP schedule change requests: Student and or parent(s) must consult with the teacher and have a signed notice from teacher granting student permission to drop the course, in which case the student will be moved to a regular version of the class.

• Students may be moved out of a Pre-AP class anytime during the first 6 weeks, last day to drop or add a Pre-AP class is October 1st. After that, students or parent initiated moves are not allowed per district policy. Student may be moved only at the discrestion of the principal after this time period.

 

SCHOOL REMINDERS

Please watch for our walkers/bike riders. We have many more students walking and riding bikes this year. Reminder that student pick up and drop off is in the back or side. The front of the building is only for buses. Skateboards and Bikes should be locked on the racks in the front of the building

This year all students come in the building at 7:45. Breakfast eaters go immediately to the cafeteria. 6th grade students meet in A-Hall, 7th grade students meet in the elective hall, and 8th grade students meet in D-Hall.

Absences

Every absence requires written documentation, and an absence of three days or more due to illness requires a doctor's note.

On the first day a student returns after an absence he/she should bring a note from a parent/guardian or doctor to the attendance window. This must be done before first period and is necessary even if only a few classes were missed. The student will be issued a "blue slip" by the attendance office. It is the student's responsibility to check with each teacher for make-up work and show them the "blue slip" when he/she returns to school.
