SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTSPflugerville High School Parents:PHS Parents,I want to share with you an important development in the ongoing investigation into the threats made against PHS earlier this year. A PHS senior has been arrested on Felony Terroristic Threat charges, stemming from email and other online threats made against the school. Many weeks of hard work by the PISD police, along with the Pflugerville and Austin police, went into the investigation and arrest of this suspect. I can’t thank them enough for their responsiveness to this situation, and for keeping our students and staff safe throughout the investigation. It is unfortunate that schools ever have to deal with these types of situations, but it is our ability to respond to and deal with these distractions that I’m most proud of. Our police department, the PHS students and staff and the PISD administration all kept the focus on maintaining a safe, positive learning environment for students, and allowed us to remain focused on the important work we do each day. I know we will finish the 2011-12 school year on a positive note. Thank you for your continued support of Pflugerville High School! NEWS FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE:Seniors and/or PHS students simultaneously attending ACC classes needing Meningitis shots can pick up a permission form from the nurse's office between May 8th and May 16th. The completed form must be turned in before May 16th to receive the shot for free on May 17th in the Panther Clinic.
