Pflugerville Middle School Choir
About the Choir DirectorMrs. Sedatole is beginning her fourth year at Pflugerville Middle School and her 17th year of teaching choral music. Mrs. Sedatole's husband of 19 years, Brian, is the head band director at Stony Point High School in Round Rock ISD. They have two children, Kimberly, a Junior at PHS and a son, Joshua, who is a third grader at Fern Bluff ES. Mrs. Sedatole and her family enjoy participating in events with Joshua's Bear Cub Scout den, going camping in their pop up trailer, playing games and reading and they are active members at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Round Rock.

Unusual Fact: Mrs. Sedatole was in the NAVY and served aboard the USNS Mercy during Desert Storm/ Shield in 1990.

Region Choir InformationAuditions: January 23, 2010 at PMS!!!! We need volunteers - BIGTIME! More information in the Fall 2009
"Annie, Jr." - 2009-10 MusicalOur school musical this year will be "Annie, Junior." We will hand out audition information by Sept. 1, 2009 with auditions September 15-17, 2009. All are welcome to audition for this school wide musical.
Solo and Ensemble InformationOctober 10, 2009 at Kelly Lane Middle School All 7th and 8th Grade students will be required to enter the competition in at least one event. The 6th Grade choir students will be highly encouraged to enter as well. We will work on solo and ensemble literature in class and students will be given a practice CD so they can practice at home as well. Students that receive a First Division rating will be awarded a medal. Students receiving a Second Division rating will receive a ribbon. And, students receiving a Third Division rating will receive a certificate. This competition is a very positive based experience in which the students receive individual and group feedback from a professional singer/teacher. Last year, 95% of our students received a First Division medal!
Concert InformationWe will have quite a few evening performances involving PMS choir students. Some of the concerts will be for the full choir and some of them will be grade specific. Al calendar of all the dates for the concert performances will be provided in August.
Spring Choir TripsAll choir members are given the opportunity to participate in a spring choir trip in May. Students are expected to participate in concerts and competitions throughout the year in order to participate in the spring choir trip. We went to Six Flags San Antonio May 2009 and probably will go to either Schlitterbahn or Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington in May 2010.
