PTO General Meeting on October 28th at 7:00 pm.This will be an Open Forum with guest speaker Jim Moore with Gang Stoppers. Dear Parents of PMS: Last week we sent out a flyer for volunteer sign up and a $10 membership donation. We have had little or no response to this cry for help. The PMS PTO as it stands is in trouble of dissolving. We have no funds in our account to try and get this organization off the ground. A PTO cannot exist without funds or volunteers. We were hoping to develop an established email list of volunteers. As it stands we have a list of 15 parents who have responded. This to me is very sad. I too am a parent with 3 children and a lot to do but I make the time to help out. With 1100 students at PMS, if each family would contribute $10 that would be $11000 in our fund. We would use these funds to order new school shirts and hoodies for sale, to fund other fundraisers, and to provide for the teachers and students needs and wants. I really want this organization to work but I cannot accomplish that on my own. We are currently working on getting the PTO 5013c certified so businesses can write all donations off on their taxes. This too costs money. I am asking all parents to consider helping. We need all we can get! Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
