Assessment Services
Assessment services is responsible for all State and locally administered curriculum based assessments from grades 1-12.
The goals of the student assessment program are the following:
- to provide data-driven feedback to students so that they can analyze what they have learned and what they still have to learn for a particular course, grade level, or bundle of instruction;
- to provide data-driven feedback to parents about the academic progress of their child in our school system;
- to provide data-driven feedback to teachers about students’ learning so that delivery methods can be altered or enhanced to create more effective teaching and learning;
- to provide feedback to administrators regarding the effectiveness of curriculum delivery, which will identify the teachers who are in need of additional coaching in the effective delivery of the district’s curriculum;
- to provide data-driven feedback to the Curriculum and Instruction Department regarding the effectiveness of the curriculum design instruction and instructional programs in the District; and
- to provide data-driven feedback to the community regarding the effectiveness of schools.
The assessment staff is responsible for all testing and dissemination of all testing reports.
