" This is a reminder that the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop begins this week.
Tomorrow (12/12) will be a viewing day for all students to check out the cool gifts and see how much money they will need to bring.
Shopping days will be Wed-Fri (12/13-12/15). Each Teacher has an assigned shopping day and time. We are going to have the store open after school until 3:15 on Wed. and Thurs. for your convenience as well.
The Penguin Patch will be open from 7-8pm on Friday during Family Fun Night for any last minute shopping your child may have.
You should have received a white budget envelope that was sent home with your child last week. This envelope will help your child and the volunteers determine how much is to be spent for each person.
Volunteers will be on hand to help your child in any way needed. All gifts will be wrapped and have the name of the recipient on each package.
We will accepting payments in cash or check (Made out to BES PTO). Tax will already be included in the price of the items.
The PTO is still in need of volunteers to help make sure the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop runs smoothly. If you are able to help in any way, please go to the Brookhollow Elementary School PTO Facebook page to sign up via the signup genius. If you have any questions, please contact Nara Dedrick, PTO President at 602-620-5663 or at PTOBrookhollow@gmail.com
Thank you for your support and we can't wait to see all the smiles on your child's face as they pick out that special gift for you and their family."

The parents at Brookhollow are the most engaged and enthusiastic I have ever worked with, and Brookhollow would not be what it is without your support and the effective partnerships we and our teachers have built with you to ensure our students’ success.  Our students come to class every day and put significant effort into becoming more skilled and knowledgeable ‘Bobcat' citizens. They are open to new ideas, new concepts, and new experiences, and we learn from them every day. They come from different circumstances and backgrounds to learn and grow together. That process is not always easy, but they struggle through the difficult moments together, and they celebrate their successes together. I am proud of them, and I am blessed to lead their school.

May you have a memorable and safe Thanksgiving holiday  – Mrs. Harris

Please visit us on Brookhollows Website and Facebook for all the great happenings!

I just wanted to remind you that 5th grade is currently sponsoring a canned food drive to benefit Blue Santa.  Remember the winning class of each grade level will win a pizza party.  We will be extending our drive through December 7th.

Thank you all for your support - 5th Grade

This year, the PTO really stepped up and took over the food portion of our Science night.  They also funded the planetarium which was a great addition to our evening.   If/When you see a PTO and Hospitality member, be sure to thank them for their part in making Science Night a success.

Science Fair is fast approaching- can you believe we are already talking about Science Fair???  It’s like Target putting out the Christmas decorations before Halloween! –

    ·         1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students are allowed to enter a project into the Brookhollow Science Fair in January.  Unfortunately, they are not able to move on to Austin Regional, that is reserved for 4th – 5th grade students.

    ·         4th and 5th grade students should already be thinking about their projects and what they want to do.  Forms were sent home by classroom teachers with more information.

Thank you again to our entire school community for giving of our special Thanksgiving Treats today – our staff will be bragging about every delicious bite!

Our 5th Grade musical “Hair Spray” is on Nov. 30th @ 6:30pm (change from the  November Brookhollow Reminder)

    Good Evening,

Our Saturday event couldn’t have been better!   We tried something new with the date, no costumes, etc. so far good reviews.

Thanks to those of you who could and completely understand those who couldn’t make it.  How wonderful it was to see those out with family and friends enjoying the evening with the school community.  We saw some of our previous students who transitioned to new schools as well as city council and board members coming out to get the latest happenings at BES.  Check us out on our BES and PTO Facebook.

This past Saturday was a memorable moment for our Brookhollow community.  The success of trying something new was all that we could have planned and more!  I wanted to especially thank our PTO board Nara Dedrick, Kris Reyes, Amy Johnson,  Hailey Ashcroft, and Hospitality  - for such great leadership and attention to detail which made it all the more special.  As well as a host of volunteers ranging from our high school students, parents, teachers, even our Bobcat student leadership team got involved. An appreciation to our PfISD board  and Pflugerville community members for stopping by and lending a hand from the cake contest to our silent auction. Most important,  seeing our families enjoy a day of fun and excitement together – Brookhollow is truly supported and loved throughout.

Congratulations Brookhollow community….you did it   With everything that went on Saturday you still managed to stop by and explore HEB Passport  and capture the grand prize of $500. for our school – thank you.  All proceeds will align with our students’ academic and social skill needs as outlined in our campus improvement plan.  Next time you are in HEB please take a moment to  let them know how much we appreciate their gratitude. Way to go Bobcats!

Tuesday, Nov. 7th is the 50th day of school.  Help us celebrate by wearing 50s attire!
