Hours: 7:15 am - 3:30 pm on school days. Students, teachers, and parents can check out and return materials during this time.
Morning Library is open from 7:15 - 7:30. Students may come every other day until we reach capacity. Students should have breakfast at home or in the cafeteria before coming to the library.
Whole classes come to the library when they need to do research or for library lessons and stories. Students may also visit the library to check out materials on an as needed basis as they finish their reading materials.
There are no fines for overdue books but students cannot check out new materials until until all overdues are returned. Fines will be charged for damaged and lost books. Books returned after they have been paid for will be refunded within one year. TES Library Online Catalog
Students can access the Library Catalog from home by following these steps:
1. Go to the PISD homepage
2. Along the top of the screen, select the Student tab.
3. Click on PISD Libraries Online.
4. Click on Timmerman Elementary, then the Catalog Tab.
You may then type in the Title, Author, or Subject you’re looking for. This search method leads you to titles in our collection as well as recommended websites for student research.Checking a Student's Library Account OnlineStudents can check their library account to see what materials they have checked out, when materials are dure, and if theyt owe fines by logging in when they access the TES library online.Click the LOGIN button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The Username and Password are the Student's ID number. The "My Info" tab contains the library account.
Volunteers Make It WORK!
Have some extra time? There are MANY ways you can help in our Library:
Helping students locate great books.
Helping students check books in and out.
Reading to students.
Library events, including Literacy Week.
Book Fairs are also a great opportunity to help out, as they are FUN and FUNdraisers for the library! We have one in September and one in the spring.
Join our Library Committee, which will meet several times a year.
