Pflugerville Education Foundation Grants Awarded

PEF Prize Posse at PES
PEF hands out over $20,000 to innovative teachers across Pflugerville ISD

January 22, 2008
On Tuesday, the Pflugerville Education Foundation (PEF) awarded its Innovative Teaching Grants to 17 Pflugerville ISD teachers. The Foundation Prize Posse, comprised of PEF Board Members and District administrators, traveled throughout the district, and notified the grant recipients by surprising teachers in their classrooms. The grants will impact more than 1,700 students of all ages.

Although the Foundation is in only its second year of existence, PEF has distributed close to $45,000 in grants to teachers and in support of District programs to date.

The mission of the Pflugerville Education Foundation is to generate and distribute resources in the Pflugerville Independent School District to enrich, maintain and expand programs needed to meet the District's stated mission and promote excellence in education.
