About Our Schools

Pflugerville ISD is made up of all, or part of, six communities including Pflugerville, Austin, Coupland, Hutto, Manor and Round Rock. Pflugerville ISD encompasses 95 square miles in the northeast portion of Travis County.

Pflugerville ISD’s roots go back to a white two-story brick building, built in 1907. Nearly 20,000 students are currently enrolled on 26 campuses, and enrollment is expected to more than double to over 40,000 students in the next 10 years. Only 10 years ago, the district had less than 10,000 students enrolled. The District continues to grow rapidly, as families make their homes in these communities to take advantage of their appealing proximity to Austin.

In 2007, the Texas Education Association rated the District Academically Acceptable. Murchison, Northwest, Pflugerville, Parmer Lane, Rowe Lane and Timmerman Elementary schools each received a rating of Recognized.
